This site will be a place for those of us that spent many months to many years working for the Mr.Steak chain or franchised Mr.Steak Restaurants. Many good friends were made while we worked hard serving those millions of lunches and dinners. This blog may be a way to find some of them and how they are doing now. Anyone remember the Free Steak Dinner for guests with a birthday? How about the big steer head on the building with his stupid tongue hanging out? Have any photos of your Mr.Steak years?
Yep, brings back memories. Worked at M/S from March '68 to July '69. Started as cook and continued as Asst. Mgr. Went through to menu change in Spring of 69 and the remodeling of back half to folding partition walls. While remodeling, went to Denver home office and worked a couple of stores to learn new menu. Grand Island, NE
Wow! I worked at the Mr Steak in Greensboro, NC from 1973 to 1975. So many of my friends worked there. We had so much fun! You gotta love those tiny chef hats and the polyester double knit dresses! I saw that photo and said yep, there's station # 1. I loved the continental steak stuffed with mushrooms and Swiss cheese.
Oh yes I remember those lovely hats...and dusting the metalwork between sides before every shift-at the Springfield MA Boston Rd. store
